Recharge: 3 Tricks To Reset After You “Shut Down”

The cold start you know on some days nothing is really going well. Recharge for a good start.

But maybe you are just sick or you worked long hours the last day and now you’re sitting in the office

and think I can really concentrate.

Or so something like that.

in the shop and so on and chatting with you about the weekend and when you add all that up then you

lose one two three four hours or maybe the whole day is lost and you maybe do one or two tasks that

day but basically the days lost when I realized that I have for this bad day.

Then I say OK I need a fresh start.

Hence, I need to start a reset.

By the way that can also happen during the day after lunch maybe or after you finished your important

task.

And so you say oh what do I do next.

Then you go surf on the Internet check your Facebook Twitter.

Hence, the first step is that you are aware of that.

Be aware that you’re not really working at the moment sorting e-mail ads for one hour.

In addition, it’s not really working trick number one is take a deep breath and make your pulse.

I mean a real pause.

Moreover, I mean not starting your.

And be on Facebook.

I mean say OK so now I make a reset, I make a fresh start that can be at the morning that can be after lunch whatever.

You always have a bad conscience or you think everybody is watching you or something like that but when

you start to know yourself and you know that you can work with double speed after that pulse then you

will not have a bad feeling again.

So what I do when I’m really messed up in the morning I say OK I stopped my laptop.

I just do nothing.

So, I go into the canteen eat something drink my coffee play a game on my iPhone just nothing what is related

to work.

And then after 20 minutes maybe my mind is starting to think about the tasks I have to solve and then

I think oh you know what.

It’s not so hot after all.

And now that I’m fresh I go back and then I really work and I really start with my stuff and I’m super

motivated or if not super motivated at least I’m ready.

Even if you do that for one complete hour or you make super long lunch break for two hours which is

last time for everybody else which doesn’t understand you.

I say I prefer a two hour lunch break sometimes once in a while and I come back as an you person over

sitting there and just salting my e-mail and checking Facebook until it’s five or six o’clock and I

finally can go home so that’s trick number one make a big or a small or medium pause.

No bad feelings.

So, just do it.

And then when you feel you are ready when you took your walk go back and start working and you really

work and your colleagues will get used to it.

Trick number two just do something.

Just do something.

So, pick a random task.

Doesn’t matter.

Everything is better than nothing.

It could be the task you want to do most your favorite task or it could be the least difficult task

or it could be the tasks you didn’t want to do for a whole time.

OK do it now.

Better than nothing.

Things like changing your password or something like that.

This is the time to do these things when you have no idea what to do.

You need a fresh start just take the tasks you don’t feel like doing.

Sounds a bit crazy but you’ll feel better after that.

And again if you always think you have no time to read all these e-mails or to do that educational stuff

you wouldn’t have done anything in that time.

So that’s got time to do these things.

However, you don’t like or you think which are not really important right now.

So trick number two was just to do anything.

Anything is better than nothing.

Trick number three for recharge or reset work with a watch.

You pick a topic maybe it’s a topic you know I have to write this concept and that would cost me hours.

Of course I don’t want to start that’s completely normal.

So I take a watch that can be an app that can be a Web site like Arrow time.

Or I prefer the good old fashioned mechanical watches.

I have a mechanical stopwatch on my desk and then I say OK I work 20 minutes.

Then you start your stopwatch and work on that task just for 20 minutes and you say to yourself after

these 20 minutes my job here was done.

I did enough.

But funny in most cases you think OK now that I have started I would continue.

And then you already have overcome that hurdle.

If 20 minutes is too much for you take five minutes say to yourself I would work five minutes on topic

X Y Z after you done it’s you take the same topic again five minutes or another product five minutes

and you will really feel how you will get warmed up and how you feel.

Well that’s a really good technique.

I do that super often also during the day when I feel my mind is going away I’m tired.

I want to go home.

Then I do that I take my watch and say OK 20 minutes walk on that topic and then we will see.

Right.

That works like always.

The tricks again trick one was take a deep breath and make pulse the pulse can be 20 minutes 30 minutes

or even one hour after you woke up tells you I’m ready to work again.

And then you really work you’re really back you’re on line again.

Any task preferably the task you are least interested in.

So then you can kill two birds with one stone because you do a task you wouldn’t have done anyway.

Trick three is work with a watch on a topic 20 minutes or five minutes or maybe 10 minutes and you always

work against the wash and most likely you want to have another 20 minutes on the same topic.

These three tricks are super effective to overcome your tiredness.
